I’m here to report a sad story, a story about a family pet though she is many years old,
Life doesn’t last forever, Me and my Mum had to take her to the vet a couple of times because her leg kept collapsing under her, they told us she needed to lose some weight, so we put her on this diet for dogs, (Jenny Graigs Dietary for dogs) as they called it.
Kimmy are beloved puppy was forced to eat the food, after all while she ate it all she has been on the diet for about a month, but they tragedy strikes again when we went for a walk she seems hyperactive and kept stumbling like she was unstable in her back legs.
When we were three quarters of the way home she just collapsed fully under herself, rolled around on the ground and the got back up again, Me and my Mum were a little shocked but then she seemed find afterwards.
She did stumble a little bit but we made it home, my Mum called the vet and booked a appointment, we took her in after school around 5:00 or 6:00 and we told them everything we know, about her leg and what happened when we walked her.
The vet told us that she had really bad arthritis and that she would need to take tablets everyday and weekly injections, my Mum was very upset, especially when I told her she might have to take in consideration about putting the dog down.
But the tables were $33.50 for a weekly packet and the ejections were heaps expensive and well really think about it, we weren’t aloud to throw her ball for her, we weren’t aloud to talk her for walks.
Tablets everyday and weekly injections, What kind of life is that for your beloved pet?,
Well I mad the decision to put her down… You may call me a bad person I think I did the right thing, I don’t want the family dog to suffer; she didn’t feel the pain being put down and her Mum was there with her and so was I.
I must say that was the end to the last of our family dogs, I guess the birds go up the little ladder, I was a bit annoyed at the people at the vet they weren’t sympathetic at all, stupid bit** .
R.I.P – Kimmy “The beautiful family pet” :( Cries…..
Well goodbye for now but not for ever I guess I be the first one you see and fall in love with when you get to heaven (Diesel) Serebear Love you lots.
I think you did the right thing; your reasoning is perfectly logical. And if you did the tablets and injections, it might have just dragged out and inevitable conclusion. Sigh. I miss my dog too >.>
ReplyDeleteThe thing with pets is that they naturally live much shorter lives than we do. So the day you buy a pet is the same day you commit yourself to the responsibility of looking after them and getting attached to them, even though they are almost guaranteed not to outlive you. So basically you just have to decide if the happiness you get from having someone (or a pet) around in your life is worth the pain of when you lose them.
Everyone always decides it's worth it :P It's hilarious how human kind can be so self-destructive ^^" *shakes head*
